City Construction Projects & Updates

Dennis Dean Road Paving & 7th and Fir Street Water Line Replacement

  • Water will be off on Wednesday, January 29th between approximatelyl 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the following places -
    • 8th and Dale intersection, west to Highway 6
    • Dennis Dean Road from Highway 6 to Fir Street
    • 8th and Dale intersection, south to Fir Street
    • 8th and Elm intersection to 7th and Elm intersection
  • This should be the last planned shutdown other than tying individual service lines to the City main
     
  • Paving is finished on Dennis Dean Road
  • Walk-through/punch list meeting has been done for paving and contractor to finish last few items on list

  • Lift station is done and operational

  • Filling, pressure testing, water testing to remain before doing service line hook-ups
     
  • Fine grading will be done after service line hook-ups are finished
     
  • All progress is weather dependent


30th & Furnas Street Water Line

  • Water line is installed and finished
     
  • Concrete has been re-poured in all removed areas
     
  • All water service connections have been made
     
  • Hydro-seeding has been done
     
  • Walk-through has been done and punch list items remain
     
  • Reseeding will be done in the spring
     
  • Please let the City know if you have any concerns for the final walk-through
